There is a specific kind of magic that happens when a couple stops seeing you as a “vendor” and starts seeing you as a partner in their story.

From our very first conversation, Kiley and Mike (or Mikey, as his friends & now me affectionately call him) led with kindness. They didn’t just hire me to take photos; they gave me their full trust. When a couple leans into my vision like they did, it creates a space where I can move beyond the “posed” and start capturing the soul of the day.

The Setting: White Willow Meadows

If you haven’t been to White Willow Meadows, it is a photographer’s dream. Even in the heart of December, the venue was flooded with that soft, clean natural light from the most beautiful windows.

The getting-ready spaces are intentionally designed—spacious, bright, and calm—which was the perfect backdrop for the morning’s festivities.

Whether we were inside looking out of those massive windows or exploring the stunning grounds, the architecture of the venue provided a timelessness that perfectly matched Kiley and Mikey’s classic style.

The Emotion: Tender Families & Wild Energy

The day just kept getting better as it went on. The morning was filled with tender, tear-filled moments between Kiley and her people (including the most precious grandma first look!!) and the hilarious dance party with her girls. You could feel the history in the room—the kind of deep-rooted love that makes for the most emotional “in-between” shots.

But once that ceremony ended? The energy shifted into pure, unadulterated joy. Their friends are the kind of people who show up big for their people. I don’t think I’ve seen a dance floor quite like this one. I mean, when was the last time you did the limbo at a wedding?!
