Romantic Ault Park Engagement Session | Brooke & Tom

As Columbus wedding photographers, we are constantly spoiled by the incredible backdrops Ohio has to offer. But there is one spot that is unlike anywhere else in the state – y’all already know I’m talking about the iconic Ault Park.

When Brooke & Tom reached out to me, we instantly bonded (like, did we just become besties?). So when they suggested heading down to Cincinnati for their engagement session, I couldn’t say yes fast enough!!

If you are currently searching for the perfect Cincinnati wedding photographer to capture your own milestone moments, know that I genuinely love this gorgeous city! Check out why I love Ault Park so much!

Why Ault Park is a Dream for a Cincinnati Wedding Photographer

Every time I photograph here, I am reminded of why this is easily one of my absolute favorite spots. For couples looking for a mix of timeless poise and natural beauty, it truly checks every single box.

1. The Historic Pavilion & Grand Stone Stairs

The crown jewel of Ault Park is the Italian Renaissance-style pavilion. I adore the massive stone architecture becasue it gives off a romantic, European villa vibe. The sweeping grand staircases are a dream to be creative on. I get so excited because they allow for gorgeous dress movement, incredible leading lines, and a sense of timeless drama that you just can’t get anywhere else.

2. The Lush Greenery & Manicured Gardens

No matter the season, the park grounds are impeccably kept. From the weeping willows to the vibrant rose gardens and tree-lined paths, there is a soft, romantic light that filters through the trees here that makes my photographer heart giddy. It provides a natural contrast to the structured stone of the pavilion.

3. The Incredible Variety

One of the biggest reasons I love coming down as a Cincinnati wedding photographer is the sheer variety the park offers within a short distance (aka you’re not walking a mile to and from all these spots!!). In a single session, we can capture high-end, sophisticated architectural portraits & immediately go into by playful, whimsical pics too. I wanted a gallery that felt both editorial and completely natural, and Ault Park allowed us to explore all over to get exactly that.

Exploring Cincinnati with Brooke & Tom

After spending waaaay too much time at Ault Park, we chased the remaining golden hour light at Eden Park. Brooke and Tom have an energy that is completely infectious that I didn’t even have to prompt them; they were just laughing, spinning, and enjoying being in each other’s arms (it made me SO excited for their big day!!)

While I love serving my local couples up in Columbus, traveling down to work with people like Brooke and Tom reminds me why I fell in love with this job in the first place.
