EEEEK I’m so excited to finally share photos from this day! There are some wedding days that just feel like a breath of fresh air. Tristan and Sean’s celebration was undeniably one of them. As Columbus wedding photographers, we go to some of the most stunning venues across central Ohio. Let me tell you, there’s really nothing like Retreat 21 in Marysville.

Nestled on 64 acres of rolling meadows, lush greenery, and modern luxury, Retreat 21 it the spot. It was the absolute perfect backdrop for a day filled with infectious energy, incredible people, and tears of pure joy (include mining, obvi).

Getting Ready

I feel like the beginning of the day sets the tone for everything that follows, and Tristan and her crew came ready to both reminisce and celebrate. The getting ready space at Retreat 21 is a dream come true for photographers. Flooded with natural light, modern finishes, and plenty of space for everyone to relax, it’s just perfect.

Before heading out for the ceremony, Tristan shared a private First Look with her dad. If you’ve been following our work as Columbus wedding photographers, you know I’m a sucker for a first look! I cherish raw, unfiltered emotion, so of course ad this moment delivered. There wasn’t a dry eye around as her dad saw his daughter as a bride for the first time. It’s tiny, quiet memories like these that continue to remind me how deeply rewarding it is what I do!

A Ceremony Surrounded by Nature

Y’ALL – I absolutely looooooove Retreat 21‘s breathtaking outdoor ceremony space. Tucked into the natural landscape, the setup feels both secluded and grand. There’s a giant towering tree and open sky, it’s such an elegant space.

Of course the couple’s love was magnetic, but watching their wedding party throughout the day was just as special (Tristan’s sister was her officiant!!). This wedding party cheered, they cried, and they brought an energy that kept everyone smiling from start to finish.

Golden Hour Views Above the Water Feature

During their reception, we snuck away with Tristan and Sean for a couple sunset portraits. One of our absolute favorite spots to shoot at Retreat 21 is the rolling hill just above their signature water feature.

The panoramic view from the top of the hill is unmatched so perfect for sunset. It gives you that serene, countryside feel while remaining just a short drive from downtown Columbus. Capturing the way Sean looked at Tristan up on that hill, with the water sparkling in the background, produced some of our favorite portraits of the entire season.

A Night to Remember

From emotional tear-jerkers to an absolute party on the dance floor, Tristan and Sean’s wedding was a beautiful reminder of why we love what we do.
