There is a quiet, ethereal magic to a morning wedding, especially when it takes place inside the glass walls of a botanical paradise. Faith and Carter’s Franklin Park Conservatory wedding was a testament to the beauty of intentionality, greenery, and the soft light of a winter morning in Columbus.

One of the most unique advantages of a morning celebration at the Conservatory is the sense of stillness before the busy bustle of the general public get into the popular spaces. Faith and Carter shared an intimate first look among the koi ponds and tropical canopies.
Because their day began before the doors officially opened to the public, the Conservatory felt like their own private playground. We were able to take our time exploring the various biomes, capturing portraits that felt completely secluded and serene. For any couple considering a Franklin Park Conservatory wedding, I cannot recommend a morning timeline enough for this exact reason—having these iconic glass houses all to yourself is a photographer’s dream.

The ceremony took place in the historic Palm House, a space that feels like a tropical paradise. Surrounded by soaring palms and lush greenery, Faith and Carter exchanged vows in a setting that made everyone forget it was winter in Ohio.

The Palm House is truly one of the most iconic spots for a Franklin Park Conservatory wedding. The way the morning light filters through the glass panes creates a soft, natural glow that highlights the deep greens of the plant life and the joy on the couple’s faces. It felt less like a traditional ceremony and more like a private gathering in an ancient garden.

Following the ceremony, the reception was a beautiful celebration of the people who shaped Faith and Carter’s lives. The morning light continued to pour into the space as emotional speeches were shared by their closest friends, parents, sisters, and Faith’s brother. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room as they recounted stories of the couple’s journey together.

To top it all off, their first dance was one of the cutest moments of the day—a quiet, joyful celebration of their new life together before the clock even hit noon.

As Columbus wedding photographers, the Conservatory remains one of our absolute favorite locations to document love stories. Whether you are planning a grand summer celebration or an intimate winter morning like Faith and Carter’s, this venue offers a timeless backdrop that is truly unmatched in Ohio.
Faith and Carter, thank you for letting me document your beautiful morning. It was an honor to be part of your “private playground” for a day.
